Being a professional tour guide, Tini knows Arusha, the surroundings and especially the National Parks of the Northern Circuit very well. Tizia travelled to many place in the world and in Africa, knowing exactly what it needs to create the perfect holiday. Daketi Safari has an answer to every question and secret wish.

SUSTAINABILITY
Daketi Safari places great emphasis on environmental, economic and social sustain-ability.
We operate sustainably and use our profits to pay our employees appropriately and to ensure a sustainable future through don-ations and investments. Part of the money generated goes to the construction and maintenance of the Hisia Nzuri Nursery School. A preschool in a Maasai area which we build and run ourselves. We will be happy to plan a visit to the nursery school.
Furthermore, we feel committed to the long-term preservation of the habitat of humans and animals, which is why we avoid plastic as much as possible and use resources wisely.
THE TEAM
Let us introduce ourselves!
We are Martin and Tizia, a German-Tanzanian couple passionate about sustainable travel. We have been working in tourism since 2015, managing an accommodation and running an NGO.
Martin, a tour guide by profession, loves nature and has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru in addition to his safari experience. He loves to share his culture with our guests and give them an interesting insight into Tanzanian life. He also takes care of the maintenance of our jeeps as well as all other background work, making sure your trip runs smoothly.
Tizia has a decade of living experience in Tanzania. First, Tizia came in 2010 after graduating from high school. She has been a volunteer, intern and gained a broad under-standing of the country and its people.
She has turned her passion into a profession in which she can show our guests her new home country. She organizes your stay in Tanzania according to your wishes.

Viva Tanzania is our non govern-mental organization. We have made it our goal to support meaningful projects in Arusha.
Viva Tanzania wants to support volunteers from all over the world to find meaningful volunteer projects in Tanzania. We want to offer everyone - volunteers and locals alike - the opportunity to broaden their horizons.

Hisia Nzuri Nursery School
There are no state-funded kinder-gartens in Tanzania. Therefor Pre-school education is not a given for many children. When children from poorer households start school at the age of six to seven, they are not at the same level of knowledge as other children who had the opportunity to attend a preschool.
That is why we decided to build a preschool in a Maasai area. We want to give these children a place where they have access to good education, can express childlike behavior, learn social skills and have a chance for a better future.
